Coaching for Leadership Development

We provide telephone based Appreciative Coaching for clergy and persons who wish to:

  • clarify their own mission
  • honor their values
  • set personal and professional goals
  • learn and implement new leadership or ministry skills
  • develop action plans
  • resolve obstacles to success
  • develop personal and professional balance

Just in Time Coaching

Many times we don't know what it is that we need to know until we are in the midst of a situation. This is especially true for Transitional Clergy who may face very different demands going from one congregational setting to another. In moving from one congregation to another clergy often lose their support systems that they have previously relied on. Coaching is an ideal way to get collaborative support and learning as you need it. In the appreciative coaching relationship you will discover and develop your own unique strengths and ways of meeting the challenges of daily life and ministry

Coach Training

In addition to providing Coaching, the Clergy Leadership Institute also provides Coach Training for those who would like to develop their coaching skills. Our coach training program is especially oriented toward training clergy to coach: peers, staff, and volunteers; and psychologists who are interested in coaching clergy and consulting to congregations.
